rev·er·ence (n.)
1. A feeling of profound awe and respect
www.dictionary.com

Days after the Tsunami disaster in Asia I was walking around the beach wanting to take photographs of fishermen casting their nets. I noticed however that this man just stood there, looking out to sea. I waded into the water and waited for him to throw his net. He never did. Clutching his net to his chest he stood there as in awe, reverence, respect for the great power the ocean brings with it. The lives of thousands like him, relying on their morning and evening catches to survive, were destroyed. He stood there for half an hour as I snapped away, and as the sun set in the horizon and I headed home, he was still standing there hypnotized by the sea.

God Bless the Tsunami Victims

Thank you, Mary.
I was trying to go more expressive/emotional with this one.

beautifully said.. there is such incredible power in the sea.. people that don't live near it cannot understand the love-affair the can be had with the ocean. it's so intoxicating and brutal
